NCCA - The Nevada County Contractors' Association is a non-profit trade association serving the construction industry of Nevada County. The NCCA was formed in 1958 and is governed by a eleven-member Board of Directors and staffed by full-time and part-time employees. The principal objective of the Association is to promote, foster, and maintain high standards in construction as well as integrity in business relations and ethical practices within the construction industry. 

One of the hundreds of independently organized Builders Exchanges throughout the United States and Canada, the NCCA serves over 400 member businesses locally. We provide a range of services to members for a reasonable fee. Our membership is comprised of licensed general contractors, specialty subcontractors, material manufacturers, suppliers, design professionals, and building-related businesses of all kinds. Our members provide our community with a full range of construction services, ranging from major public works improvement projects to a full spectrum of residential, commercial, and industrial private developments. 

NCCA members not only practice the standards of good building, they devote time, labor, money, and construction expertise to community projects and consumer protection advocacy throughout Nevada County. For instance, a simple call to the Nevada County Contractors Association office can get you referrals to every kind of contractor, subcontractor, or material supplier you might need for your home or business improvement project. 

The NCCA provides a voice for the industry in dealing with government agencies and other community groups in addition to industry-wide concerns. It also acts to insure the use of competitive bidding, promotes the enforcement and conformity of building codes, and encourages high standards among those in the construction industry and related fields. 

The NCCA also serves the community by protecting against unlicensed contractor activity as part of our industry's consumer awareness program. We provide information to consumers on laws and programs available to protect them, as well as a referral service to assist them in finding a licensed contractor.
